Lucky us! As St. Jacques employees, we get sent off to attend some of the most exciting conference events and educational classes in the marketing space; and not just because our boss gets sick of seeing our smiling faces every day.
We chatted with our Client Service Director, Carla Mercurio and Client Service Manager, Sarah Perna, who recently attended a Rutgers University Management Development class. Here’s how they’re putting their new industry insights to work for St. Jacques and our clients.
The Ripple Effect
“Our biggest takeaway was that our management style should reflect us being leaders, rather than just managers. When we lead our team, everyone is more engaged and shows a genuine interest in working harder, directly benefiting our clients and the results we produce for them.”
Philip St. Jacques reflects on this by adding, “Our clients rely on each one of us to be experts. Education and constant evolution of our collective intelligence is what sets St. Jacques apart and makes us invaluable assets to our clients.”
Inspire from within.
“Our course was all about leading our company into the future. We picked up great tips that we’re going to implement within St. Jacques.” Effective immediately, each St. Jacques team will establish a Vision and Mission statement, while also creating individual mission statements for our own positions here at the agency. “Our goal is to maintain and lead high performance teams; by always evaluating our personal and professional performance that ultimately strengthens our communication strategies with each other and our clients.”
The St. Jacques team is armed with a wealth of knowledge of the advertising industry, in part due to the company’s continuous support in educational development. We’re a group that’s committed to our company’s and client’s success, while still furthering our own personal goals.
